ASA2010 Melbourne- Call for abstract papers Abstract submissions are now being accepted for ASA2010 Melbourne. All presentations will be assessed and prizes to the value of $750 each will be awarded for Best Clinical Presentation, Best Research Presentation, Best Proffered Oral Presentation, Best Poster/Case Report and Best First time presenter/student paper. Abstracts to be received no later than Friday 28th February.
In addition to a range of cash prizes, sonographers who present an original research paper at ASA2010 Melbourne will be eligible for the Best Research Paper Grant of up to $5000.

Victorian 2010 Rural Allied Health Postgraduate Scholarship program The Rural Allied Health Postgraduate Scholarship Program supports rural allied health practitioners in Victoria who have demonstrated their involvement in, and commitment to, rural allied health practice to improve their skills and expertise through postgraduate studies. Postgraduate scholarships are available for permanent or contract employees of a rural public sector health service (RRMA 3-7) who intend to commence an eligible postgraduate course in 2010. Victorian CPD Rural Allied Health Practitioners subsidy program The CPD Subsidy Fund is available to assist Victorian allied health practitioners currently working in a publicly funded health service in rural Victoria to participate in conferences and skills development opportunities relevant to the development and provision of rural health services. This program may be suitable for those wishing to attend ASA2010 Melbourne. Further information is available on the Victorian Healthcare Association website.

ASA events ASA2010 Melbourne 28–30 May – register early and SAVE The 17th Annual National Conference of the ASA presents the ideal opportunity to build on your knowledge base, exchange ideas and review current research and developments in medical sonography. Our exciting new format features pre-conference workshops on Thursday 27 May, a full day of plenary sessions and workshops on Friday 28 May plus a comprehensive program that delivers more than 150 presentations over three days.

ASA NSW Branch calls for presenters for "Interesting Cases Meeting" ASA NSW Branch is calling for enthusiastic ASA NSW members to present at the Interesting Cases Meeting to be held on Wednesday evening, 11 August 2010 at Toshiba Head Office in North Ryde, Sydney. Presentations should last for 7-15 minutes on an ultrasound related topic. Prizes will be offered for the Best Presentation and Best Student Presentation. Come along, network with colleagues and share your case and you could win the opportunity to have your case published!

2010 Branch Meeting Program Your Branch Committees are busy planning meetings for 2010. Branch meetings are an excellent opportunity for professional development, collecting CPD points and networking. You can build on your knowledge base and exchange ideas in a friendly and supportive environment.
