On behalf of the Convening Committee, it is with great pleasure we invite you to attend ASA2009 Adelaide, the 16th Annual National Conference of the Australian Sonographers Association. The conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre 22-24 May 2009. The Convention Centre is located in the CBD of Adelaide, adjacent to the picturesque River Torrens and parklands.

The scientific convenors have assembled a fantastic group of international and local speakers. We are pleased to welcome Dr Andrew Potter, Sports Medicine, Doctor to the Olympians as our opening speaker who will share with us his Olympic experiences. Our international keynote speaker Terry DuBose joins us all the way from Arkansas, Texas and will present numerous sessions throughout the weekend.

As well as an outstanding education program we are also planning an exciting social weekend. The weekend kicks off with Latino Grooves welcome drinks on Friday evening, followed by Breakfast on the Fringe on Saturday morning and culminates in a spectacular Masquerade Ball on Saturday evening.

Once again we will be offering delegates a chance to win a major travel prize by visiting the trade displays throughout the weekend.

We look forward to seeing you in Adelaide and hope that you will get a chance to extend your stay and experience all that Adelaide and South Australia have to offer.

Call for papers

The Convening Committee is seeking submissions for proffered papers, case studies and poster presentations. If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please review the requirements via the link below and submit your abstract online. All abstracts must be submitted no later than 20 February 2009.
